a 'how to guide'

Our first trip to Nicaragua took place in September of 2006 and we were in for a surprise. The goal of the trip mainly was to begin to build relationships with various people in the city of Matagalpa. We met people from the poorest communities all the way up to one of the three presidential candidates that were running for presidency at the time. When we got on the plane to fly home and as our plane left the ground we felt the Lord tell us "that the mountains of society are open and whoever gets there first can have the country". So since then we have been in a pursuit of what we feel the Lord is entrusting us with there. It is very exciting to see what God is doing in Nicaragua.

Since then we have continued to return and pour into local churches in Managua and Matagalpa. The anointing is always strong in Nicaragua and people are healed as fast as we can pray for them.  We are still carrying the word that the places of influence are open. In April of 2008 we visited coffee farms in the mountains surrounding Matagalpa and held a surf competition for kids in Popoyo. This November is the "Convacatoria Juvenil," a prayer and worship gathering for all of Central America, which will likely draw 50,000. We are always impressed by the rising generation in Nicaragua. They have seen their share of hardship, but have the courage to dream dreams big enough to transform their nation.
