Learning to Create a Photo Story
Think about telling a story to a person that has no connection with you or the place you're going. What does the country side look like? How do people dress? Is their culture different than yours?

Each of these photos tells it's own story. Each image creating a mountain of paragraphs. Two of the photos are farmers. They have the same job title yet they have completely different lives. Which photo(s) do you connect with? In two of the photographs we can see the peoples eyes clearly, what are their eyes saying to us?
If you look at the photos top left to bottom right what are some differences? The distance from the camera to the person gives us more depth into the story. The close up of the frozen man shows us detail of his white eyelashes. We see how cold it really is, but he could be in the alps of Switzerland or the plains of Saskatchewan. The second photo is much the same, I can guess that he is in Eastern Europe but it could be California. What's more important for the story? The yellow car or the face he's making? Or maybe his cigarette? You decide.
Stories built without words can change with just a step to the left. Look down on a person could make them look weak or a victim of the world around them. Going on your knees and getting under and looking up could make a hero victorious and strong.
